Land Acknowledgement
We acknowledge with deep respect that the work of the BC and Yukon LIP, RIF, and Zonal Immigration Partnership Network takes place across the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territories of many Indigenous Nations. In British Columbia, this includes over 200 distinct First Nations, each with unique cultures, languages, and histories, including but not limited to the Coast Salish, Nlaka'pamux, Secwepemc, Syilx, Stó:lō, Haida, Tsimshian, Gitxsan, Nisga’a, and many others. In Yukon, we recognize the territories of the 14 Yukon First Nations, including the Tr’ondëk Hwëch’in, Kwanlin Dün, and Champagne and Aishihik First Nations.
We deeply value the knowledge, traditions and ongoing contributions of Indigenous communities, which are integral to our work.
